When sending sensitive data by letter -post service, total control of the entire production process is the be all and end all of Paper Output Management. Starting with print and inserting to loading the postboxes – the documented monitoring of the actual progress of the letter output to the point of transfer to the postal service employee is added insurance in case of damage. continue»
The HSW Mail-Piece-Control (MPC) provides exactly the right hardware solution for your higher-level process control software. MPC reads, detects and controls – reliably, quickly and effectively.
Modular and cascadable
In the proven modular construction, the MPC-System is cascadable and can be connected to all conventional inserters. The system's flexibility allows formats from C6 to C4 (incl. C6/5 DL) to be processed. The basic element of the system is a reader module which uses various camera types to read barcodes, data matrix codes and plain text from top to bottom or bottom to top. Read results are compared in real-time to the target lists of the process control software. Letters that are destroyed or rejected during the production processes are identified as "not processed" at the end of the processing cycle. A reprint for these documents can be initiated – until every single letter has been read in the MPC, marked as "successfully processed" and has verifiably left the production process.
Sequence control – Stop and Go
A special feature of Mail-Piece-Tracking is the optional sequence control module. The read result of a letter is compared to that of the following letter for the correct sequence of the data records to be processed in the job. The printed code of the first letter contains its ID, of which the value is compared to the ID value of the next letter. If the two ID values form a logical sequence (ascending or descending), the result is approved. During the inspection of the two read results, the first letter is retained in the sequence control module until the comparison has been completed. If no logical sequence was determined, letter 1 and letter 2 are diverted. The scope of letters that are diverted due to a sequence error is based on a freely definable parameter setting. Reading, sequence check and diverting processes take place at a capacity of up to 26,000 inserts/h.
Precise letter diversion in series
The free cascadability of the system in connection with the powerful process control software opens up (retrofittable) options of the targeted rejection of letters. This way, wrong readings, sequence errors and print duplicates can be removed from the processing process in dedicated diverter compartments. This clearly identifies duplicates as such, and wrong readings and sequence errors respectively, i.e. this provides 100% control and traceability of letter rejects.
Freely combinable
Following the modular principle of HSW, a Post-Box-System (PBS) can be docked to a Mail-Piece-Control and easily integrated into the high-level process control software. Control safety is therefore also ensured during the process of loading and labeling the postboxes.
